Requirements analysis is very often the longest pole in the tent for project work. Business analysts are frequently faced with the challenge of achieving a “faster time-to-market” while still maintaining the quality and thoroughness demanded for a successful project. This is an even more important issue in tough economic times.

One solution is to use visual requirements. This practice can reduce the requirements analysis time by as much as 30% which, in turn, reduces project costs for the effort saved.

Seminar Presenter:

Jerry Jacobs is a lead business analyst with more than 25 years of IT experience; the past eight years in business analysis. In addition to application development and network administration, Jerry has served as part-time faculty for IT courses and conducted several BA boot camps and workshops. Jerry has developed and implemented a technique for flexible, streamlined requirements elicitation and documentation to match the level of detail to project scope and reduce requirements documentation time. This technique has resulted in savings of 25 to 30 percent of the analysis phase project hours.
