The Agile Manifesto teaches us to favor working software over documentation. That makes logical sense … unless you work in a compliance/governance heavy environment.
How do you reap the rewards of better software and efficiency while satisfying documentation requirements?
Whether required by your clients, like CMMM(I), or due to the nature of your business, like HIPAA or Sarbanes-Oxley, certain metrics are a business requirement. But, agile teams traditionally avoid such documentation like the plague.
Can these worlds co-exist?
We will explore several types of standards and metrics and show how to provide them while maintaining agility.
