Live Webinar – December 13, 12:00-1:00 PM EDT
Offered by ASPE (REP 2161) 1 Category A PDU – Free PDU
This is a 1 hour seminar and attendees will be awarded 1 PDU for participating.

SharePoint can do just about anything – from collaboration to business intelligence; from shared directories to business processes. It even has Facebook like features through its My Site capability.

But do your end users know this? Do they even know how to log into the system? The human brain only uses about 10% of its functionality, and for some reason the rest is closed out to us. Why would you do the same thing with your SharePoint deployment?

For the typical end user who has a thousand things to do each day, they don’t have time to “play around” and figure things out. They also don’t have time to sit through some useless asynchronous e-learning video. But they do want to learn the system the easiest and quickest way.

SharePoint is complex enough to make hands-on a must, but it doesn’t take days to give an end user what they need to double their productivity.

In this web seminar, we will discuss:

  • The value of end user training for SharePoint,
  • Where the efficiency points are, and possible return.
  • We will also review a methodology which is repeatable and scalable, yet allows for customization based on your specific deployment.

It is one thing to set up SharePoint, but from what we are seeing, set up is half the battle.

Until end users embrace the system, they will not use it. And an above 10% utilization of your SharePoint deployment is not acceptable.

Go beyond the 10% and empower your end users to get the most they can out of the tool you have provided.

Presenter: Mark Weinstein (LinkedIn profile) has more than 25 years in the technology industry, and is a consultant specializing in collaborative technologies, focused upon Microsoft’s Exchange and SharePoint servers. Mark consults on several high-end projects for enterprise companies with thousands of users. His forte is building and teaching courseware that makes hands-on material practical and usable in a real-world environment, while keeping the general information on the subject easy to retain. In addition to being a published author and a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Mark holds several industry certifications and serves a diverse customer base ranging from healthcare to large public universities.
