Description Of The Course:

For decades the IT Industry has referenced and applied the term “IT Methodology” – as the industry has evolved so too has the expansion, usage and interpretation of the term.

In today’s world, practitioners and audiences routinely interchange the usage of the term “IT Methodology” to include a host of industry recognized frameworks, methodologies, lifecycles, and delivery approaches. Though these broad definitions for the term “IT Methodology” may afford project teams and IT practitioners latitude in applying an IT Methodology, these same broad definitions can sometimes cloud how organizational resources interpret and recognize the benefits that can be derived from using an IT Methodology.

This webinar is intended to provide attendees:

  • Stakeholders, Users
  • Project Managers, Business Managers
  • Architects, Programmers, Testers
  • Business analysts,
  • PMO/Governance

an overview on IT Methodology and a contextual understanding of the various IT Frameworks, Methodologies, Lifecycles and Delivery Approaches available within the IT workplace.

The course identifies and describes (origins, objectives, purposes) a host of IT related frameworks, methodologies and lifecycles to provide the attendee a contextual understanding of IT Methodology and the benefits that can be derived from utilizing an IT Methodology.

The session reviews the structures, constructs and naming conventions commonly used by a number of the most reputed IT Methodologies (Phase names, deliverables, artifact, etc.) in the industry. It concludes by identifying and describing the benefits (Project perspective and process perspective) that organizational stakeholders, practitioners, and audiences should expect to derive from and IT Methodology.

Like all QAIassist IT Methodology webinars, this session has been designed to provide attendees a gently flowing (graphics and text) presentation that will provide them a basis of IT Methodology knowledge they can reference and utilize within their own environment.

Upon its conclusion, attendees will have a greater general understanding of IT Methodology, and a foundation they can utilize to further their IT Methodology knowledge and expertise.

Real change in government program management must consider how new knowledge and skills can be applied by the learner prior to training. And many development initiatives focus more on compliance with existing mandates or the fulfillment of a training quota than on achieving necessary organizational change.

Without management involvement, most training initiatives don’t meet expectations. Adoption of new skills must be supported by the agency, manager and project team members to truly make a difference.
