Live Webinar – June 18th, 2013 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EDT
Presented by: Training Magazine
Duration: 1 Hour 1 Category C PDU – Free PDU

Change Is A Constant

There will be more of it in every organization, more often and impacting more people. We also know that new learning and e-learning programs as well as organizational initiatives are changes and they don’t just implement themselves.

To ensure their success we must recognize the often quoted mantra, ‘the soft stuff is the hard stuff’ is in fact, true.

The ‘soft stuff’ are the people issues – creating awareness and understanding, developing involvement and engagement, and ensuring integration into the individual and organizational processes – that touch users, managers and executives and we must find ways to efficiently and effectively address them.

Having advised major public and private organizations on change and implementation for over 30 years,Lance Dublin has had his share of successes and failures.

In this session, he will share with you the myths/truths I’ve distilled from these experiences, covering the change lifecycle from awareness to adoption to adaption to full integration. And, from developing an effective implementation plan based on a proven strategy from a blank-slate to taking what you’ve already done or currently are doing to re-form a plan and re-think your strategy to be more effective.

The key objective of this webinar is to challenge all of us to re-think what we know and have done, and to generate new ideas. So, please come prepared to share as well as listen. This is an opportunity to together evolve an approach for organizational change and program implementation based on our collective experience and learning. I’m looking forward to learning with you!

Speakers: Lance Dublin (LinkedIn profile) has been an advocate for innovative approaches to learning and change throughout his career. He went from designing a weeklong “Experiment in Free Form Education” program in high school to co-founding one of the nation’s first fully accredited ‘University Without Walls’. Later recognizing the impact of new user-centered technologies on people, business and learning, he founded and built Dublin Group, a company which became a leader in improving individual and organizational performance and implementing large-scale change.

Live Webinar June 19th, 2013 – 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EDT
Duration: 1 hour webinar Credits: 1 PDU Category A – Free PDU
Sponsored by: PMI Organizational Project Management CoP (REP #S043)
Presented by: Rania Al-Maghraby

The purpose of this webinar is to survey the SEI’s CMMI model and the PMI’s OPM3 model as being used in appraising organizations based on maturity.

Organizations seeking appraisal of their current maturity, either for internal strategic goals, or for external commercial and trade requirements, will consider basing their maturity assessment and improvement efforts on a global framework which was developed for satisfying these organizational improvement needs.

Most well‐known models currently are CMMI (with several constellations) from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University, and the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3) from the Project Management Institute (PMI), among other models from other providers.

In this webinar Rania will explore these two models from maturity assessment and improvement point of view. She will highlight differences, and show the applicability of each model, while opposing components and characteristics of each model to clarify how it is intended to be applied in actual use.

Note: You do have to be a PMI® member to register for this opportunity.

Presenter: Rania Al-Maghraby, (PMI profile) is PMP® & ITIL® Foundation certified, with an MSc Computer Science. Rania is a certified OPM3® Consultant and Assessor, among only less than 85 certified professionals globally. Rania is the owner and general manager of the OneWayForward Inc, consultation firm based in Egypt and is the founder of EAITSM / itSMF Egypt chapter. She is a speaks at several professional events including PMI Global and IPMA World Congresses.
