As governments look to strike a balance between the three basic objectives of healthcare systems – access, quality and patient safety, and choice – consumers are demanding integrated end-to-end solutions.

This consumer push is driving governments on both sides of the Atlantic towards models that integrate provision and transfer risk through patient-centric care.

This change in thinking by governments is forcing companies to change their approach as well. To remain competitive, companies are moving from traditional product-based models to customer-based value and outcome models.

This fundamental rewiring of the business is creating advantages for companies that can move quickly and capitalize.

While governments and companies try to adapt to these new needs, digital channels are creating more informed and empowered consumers – forcing both governments and companies to adapt even more.

These forces and others are driving change within the healthcare industry. The big political and societal question that remains is – what should the state provide and how is patient-centric healthcare developing in an era of expanding role of government? This presentation will examine many of these questions and others.

Objectives:

  1. Understand the new challenges health systems and project managers are struggling with and how today’s health systems are not designed to change patient behavior and need consumers to be active in their own care;
  2. Outline the three basic objectives healthcare systems and project managers must balance and how governments are taking different approaches of reaching the goal of integrating provision and transferring risk through patient-centric care; and
  3. Identify the increasingly digital channels customers are leveraging and discuss how project managers are creating more informed and empowered customers.

Note: You do have to be a PMI® member to register for this opportunity.

Millennial Generation:
Challenge – Opportunity – Or Both

One of the biggest challenges managers face is dealing with the millennial generation, which will account for 36% of the U.S. workforce next year and 75% of the global workforce by 2025.

Millennials—those ages 19 to 30 —have a different set of workplace expectations, behaviors and desires that managers need to understand in order to engage them effectively.

Companies are losing their top millennial talent to competitors because they fail to set expectations and support their careers.

In this webcast you’ll hear about the differences between Millennial, Gen X and Boomer employees; ways to effectively reach and work with them; and practical methods from case studies of companies that are managing them successfully.

What You Will Learn:

  • Learn about what makes the millennial generation tick and how their needs are different than older worker directly from a millennial
  • Discover new research (in partnership with American Express) that shows the differences between what managers and millennials think about the workplace and how to get ahead
  • Hear case studies from leading companies who have created programs and practices that effectively target millennials, including Ernst & Young, American Express, Intel and DreamWorks.

While attending this program is FREE, reservations are required – However most AMA webinars are recorded for later viewing.
