The webinar will be dedicated to discussing Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project, which will be the world’s first project to turn natural gas from coal seams into liquefied natural gas, or LNG.
This major, integrated project involves:
- Expanding QGC’s existing coal seam gas production in the Surat Basin of southern Queensland.
- Building a 540km buried natural gas pipeline network linking the gas fields to Gladstone.
- Constructing a natural gas liquefaction plant on Curtis Island, near Gladstone, where the gas will be converted to LNG for export.
The presentation will focus on project controls and the execution plan.

Presenter: Graham Hardy (LinkedIn profile) with over 23 years of experience in construction management and construction engineering in the LNG and downstream oil and gas industries in Australia, the Middle East and the UK, Graham is currently Construction Manager on the QCLNG Project based on Curtis Island in Australia. A former Member of Engineers Australia, Graham holds a Masters Degree in Construction Management Studies and an Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
