Live Webinar November 6th, 2013 – 11:00 am to 12:00 pm EDT
Presented by the Corporate Education Group (REP 1011)
Duration: 1 Hour Credits: 1 Category A PDU – Free PDU

All projects are subject to budget and time constraints and therefore scope has to be managed carefully. To keep scope on track, there needs to be thoughtful prioritization of requirements and user needs.

It is the job of the business analyst to ensure that the proposed requirements are feasible and support business needs and objectives, and that all stakeholders have a shared understanding of and agreement to the requirements.

In this webinar, participants will learn about several different strategies for prioritizing requirements, including subjective ranking, objective alignment and time boxing, among others.

You will learn:

  • How to understand scope delineation versus scheduling when prioritizing
  • Specific requirements prioritization strategies and when to apply them
  • How and when to apply different scales and ranking schemes depending on situations
  • How to use group estimation to set priorities

These techniques will be presented along with examples and you will understand whether they help delineate scope or define implementation priority.
