After studying and quietly championing the concept of a Program Management Office at Montana State University, Anne Milkovich and her team were able to successfully launch a PMO with low resource overhead.
After one year of official operation, the PMO team attributes their success to a focus on portfolio management that enables them to demonstrate results to executives and win the support of distributed teams.

Presenter: Anne Milkovich (LinkedIn profile) is the Associate CIO for Enterprise IT Governance at Montana State University and author ofManagement Bytes: Ten Essential Skills for Technical Managers. In her capacity Anne oversees the IT governance process, strategic planning and policy, IT service management, the PMO Office including portfolio management, program and project management, as well as overseeing IT finance, procurement, and human resources.
