Take this seminar for 1 Cat C PDU or Earn up to 8 PDUs by readingThe SPEED of Trust

The idea that trust is a key ingredient in organizational success is nothing new. Leaders of business, military, and civil duty have long understood its importance. But what is new is the growing understanding that trust is not just an abstract concept pondered by the C-suite – it’s a tangible, measurable factor in the success of every employee and every team in a company.

In The Speed of Trust, Steven Covey Jr. – son of the late Steven Covey – takes the reins to eloquently explain why trust is the most foundational asset any professional can use to be more effective in their work.

In practical terms, Covey explains why higher levels of trust increase operational speed and efficiency. He breaks down the “cores of credibility” and key behaviors necessary to build trust.

Steven also describes how to spot “counterfeit” behaviors which erode trust, and how to scale trust-building up to the stakeholder, organizational and market level.

This webinar will define what it means to take a consultative approach to program management by identifying the eight key guiding principles as well as several strategies for applying such principles to your programs.

The business environment has been evolving over the last several decades because of many factors including a volatile economy, growth in technology, increased competition and demanding customers and shareholders.

Companies are also taking larger bets with technology as a means of competitive advantage. The result has been a rise in large and complex programs for many companies. These programs usually span many years, cost millions or even tens or hundreds of millions of dollars to run, involve many people from across the organization and usually also include vendors and partners from other companies.

While programs are getting larger and more complex, at the same time the success rate of programs remains low.

In order to manage programs in this environment, it is imperative to take a “consultative approach” to running them. A consultative approach involves managing these programs with a core set of guiding principles and utilizing them across every function of the program.

Kerry Wills will define what it means to take a consultative approach by identifying the eight key guiding principles and then propose several strategies to enable Program Managers to be successful in the new landscape by applying them to their programs.

Presenter: Kerry Wills PMP (LinkedIn profile) climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2000. He spent months designing his approach, preparing the equipment, training for endurance and executing the plan. His impressive Keynote address Summitting Mt. Kilimanjaro: A Project Management Case Study (1 Cat A – more info) has presented to many PMI® Chapters and is available as a recorded session from ITMPI.
