In the past, the JavaScript programmer did not need know the classic data structures and algorithms taught in computer science.
However, with the advent of new JavaScript environments that allow JavaScript to be run on the desktop and on the server, JavaScript programmers need to know how to work with stacks, dictionaries, and binary trees.
In this webcast, learn how classic data structures and algorithms can help create efficient solutions to many different types of programming problems.
Presenter: Mike McMillan (O’Reilly profile) first learned Basic on the Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 1 in the late ’70s. He is currently a consulting software engineer for Software Innovators in Little Rock, Arkansas. His primary development environments include Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, and SQL Server, though occasionally he dips into C and Perl.
