Live Webinar May 27th, 2014 – 1:00 pm – 2:15 pm EDT
Duration: 1.5 hr Credits: 1 PDU Category A – Free PDU
Sponsored by: Global Diversity CoP (REP #S018)
It’s no secret that diversity and inclusion—commonly called D&I—has entered contemporary corporate discourse.
Business thought leaders began writing about it en masse in the late 1980s, and now, 25 years later, references to D&I are everywhere.
The tough part, isn’t talking about D&I;
The challenge is leveraging it.
Indeed, the scholarly literature shows that 20th century organizational D&I initiatives often produced underwhelming results.
In this webinar we will jump wholeheartedly into the 21st century—examining how to forge a happy marriage between the equitable values at the heart of ethical D&I practices and the real-world need to build sustainable competitive advantage.
Moving beyond the idea that D&I is a small adjunct to project management, Paul will explore ways D&I can enter the mainstream of an organization’s strategic vision.
- By flipping the paradigm we will see D&I as a completely viable end that deserves its own special projects.
- Whether and how D&I is practiced affects everyone.
- Moreover everyone can have a hand in building it.
This webinar is for all organizational stakeholders, regardless of organization size, type, or sector, who want a deeper understanding of how to integrate D&I into their organization’s strategic vision.
