Idea Mapping is a powerful whole-brained visual thinking tool that enhances memory, note-taking skills, thought organization, planning, creativity, and communication.

It uses color, key words, lines and images to connect thoughts associatively. Idea Maps are the natural expression of the way the brain processes information associatively.

The human brain is better at processing information when it is presented visually. Despite this, however, most communication is linear rather than visual.

By converting the information that is received into an idea map, you create relationships which will help clarify the information contained.

For a limited time you can get:

  • Free Kindle Book Summary of  Summary: Idea Mapping – Jamie Nast [Kindle Edition]  (normally $6.15 USD) This 32 page summary explains how idea mapping enables you to plan more effectively, allow others to understand you better, and permits more connections between logical ideas and creativity.

Note: You do have to be a PMI® member to register for this opportunity.

The information and decision-making duties of project professionals and business analysts get more complex every day.

Data resources – and concerns – have become ubiquitous, and it’s critical to stay on top of them.

While BAs and PMs don’t need to suddenly transform into data scientists, they must understand the data resources currently available, what they offer, and how they’re being used.

Most importantly, every BA and PM should understand how data can be leveraged to deliver business value and project solutions in their own work.

This one-hour open Q&A session gives you a chance to get answers to common real-world data challenges. Join Chris as he talks with top-tier data expert Darrel Raynor.

Live Webinar – June 17, 2014 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EDT
Presented by: Eclipse Project Portfolio Management
Duration: 1 hour 1 PDUs Credits: Category C 1 PDU- Free PDU

Project Portfolio Management (PPM) initiatives are expected to provide significant benefit to multiple roles within an organization.

Intuitively, most staff can understand the potential value in the organization, process and technology changes involved with a PPM initiative. However, the lack of change management practices through a PPM initiative’s implementation is one of the most common reasons for their failure. Symptoms of this issue can include poor executive commitment, resistance or political pressure from functional management and compliance issues with project teams.

Eclipse will review common misconceptions about PPM initiative implementations, provide some guiding principles for successful change and detail the steps and key communication messages necessary to gain buy-in from executive and functional management as well as from project teams.

This webinar will also provide tips that can be incorporated into the initiation and planning of your PPM initiative to increase your odds of success.

Who should attend this webinar?
C-Level Management, IT Directors and Managers or Directors of PMOs
