In the late 1990’s our Project Management Office (PMO) was established to define project standards ahead of large and looming business system projects.
Within its first five years the Project Office had successes, established methodologies, and hired more project managers.
However, within ten years something changed.
The business required support for a shift from a print-centric model to an online products and services model.
This required a transformation of the Project Office from a group espousing process to a collaborative, agile, business partner.
Today, we focus on cultivating business relationships and programs, enabling IT strategy, running large projects as well as overseeing feature release cycles, and a driver of the IT demand/capacity conversation.
Join Bonnie in learning how the PMO has endured and managed to maintain its relevance in a matrix organization experiencing business transformation.
In this webinar you will learn to:
- Describe the PMO maturity model
- Provide concrete examples of PMO maturity and business alignment
- Identify expanded PMO roles to include business analyst and program manager
