  1. How should firms design collaboration structures in distributed R&D projects that involve multiple vendors?
  2. And what are the performance implications of such structures?

In this webinar, Anant will discuss the results from a research study that examines the above questions.

Using data from 147 R&D projects, she will focus our attention on two underlying dimensions of collaboration structures in multi-vendor R&D projects:

  • The scale and the scope of collaboration between a client firm and its vendors in an R&D project …
  • And examine how these dimensions affect the revenue generated from collaboration.

The study findings highlight the significant performance implications of collaboration structures in multi-vendor R&D projects and call for greater managerial attention toward effectively balancing the scale and the scope of such structures in multi-vendor projects.
