Performance benchmarking typically involves the collection, analysis and reporting of quantitative data. As a result, organizations can identify and track their levels of performance regarding productivity and software quality.

DCG’s benchmarking model incorporates a qualitative analysis component along with the quantitative analysis, which provides further insight into why certain projects are experiencing lower levels of performance.

Learn how this benchmarking model can work for you, providing you with the data you need to improve your software development practices.

The shift from command and control to servant leader is essential to the large scale application self-directed teams and agile.

Under this model the PMO provides services to projects and treats project managers as customers.

Using LEAN Pull techniques ensures the PMO is always focused on what projects need and want most.

The result is a leaner PMO and a more satisfied customer community.

More than a decade has passed since the Agile Manifesto was written to help software developers implement a light-weight mindset and more efficient processes on the projects.

The ideas have now transformed into something much larger with an impact that can be seen across the majority of software development groups and organizations.

During this one-hour web seminar, Tom McGraw will discuss a brief evolution of Agile in software development.

Included will be his thoughts on the various flavors that are typically identified as Agile and how they tie to the original Manifesto.

Furthermore, Tom will discuss the idea of a ‘hybrid’ Agile approach (“AgileFall?”) and whether these groups are considered Agile.

He will explore how Agile is viewed by practitioners, specifically, whether Agile should be seen as black and white (i.e., your team is using it, or your team is not using it) versus the idea that Agile can be viewed as a spectrum, indicating that certain teams could be ‘more agile’ than others based on their processes.

By the end of the seminar, you will be equipped with the tools to better understand how your group is utilizing Agile processes and determine “Where your team falls on the ‘spectrum’.”

PART 1 Now Recorded – (Click To get info and link to the session)

This is part 2 of the 2 parts “Sustainable Development” webinar series. The sustainability concept is sweeping across the entire world involving almost all social, economic, cultural, educational and political institutions. It is now unrealistic to think of running a program or project without a plan for its sustainability.

The current economic and financial crisis plaguing world economies have a been a litmus on their sustainability and long-term viability of many banks and other financial institutions and this has had some dramatic effects in the implementation of projects sponsored by these financial institutions.

It is a truism that Project Sustainability remains a major challenge nowadays not only to developing countries but to developed countries as well due to technological transformation, political changes, corruption, nepotism, deregulation, financial instability characterized by insolvency and liquidity problems, and other social, cultural, environmental and economic factors.

This webinar focuses on the relationship between Project Management and Total Quality Management and how they complement each other towards project sustainability. It also evaluates the contribution of other concepts such as Six Sigma Methodology, Configuration Management, Capacity Building, Knowledge Management, Project Planning and Management, human resources management and their impact project implementation and its sustainability.

The webinar also elaborates on basic quality improvement tools such as SWOT Analysis, process flow analysis, cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis, quality organizational structures, systems analysis, feasibility studies, change management, issue management, risk management process and organizational behaviour and team building which help to analyze and evaluate various quality management processes.

The webinar is intended for scholars, researchers, professional consultants in project management, quality assurance, quality improvement and general management, health research institutions, hospitals and clinics, health insurance companies, small and large-scale businesses, Governmental and Non-Governmental and other international organizations involved in the implementation of projects around the world.
