Duration: 1 hour webinar Credits: 1 PDU Category A – $20 USD PDU
Presented by: Solutions Cube Group (REP 2451)

This webinar is the first in a two part series series on “Stakeholder Analysis” by Solutions Cube. Although this module is a part of the series – each module in the series can be taken individually.

Whether your project is large or small, it’s important to know who your stakeholders are and what they expect from the project. How are they going to be involved in the project and what kind of communication do they need? How do you figure out who the people and organizations are that need to be engaged in your project and what their perceived impact of the project is on the area they’re representing?

This is the first webinar in a 2 part series on Stakeholder Analysis. This webinar will discuss how to identify your stakeholders and obtain information about those stakeholders required to ensure that the project is a success.

Attend this 1 hour presentation to learn how to perform a stakeholder analysis, document the results of your analysis in the Stakeholder Register, and use the information to determine what key stakeholder expectations and communication needs are.

In this 1 hour in-depth webinar participants learn:

  • Identify all stakeholders impacted by the project and who have influence on the project
  • Gather critical information about each stakeholder
  • Develop the Stakeholder Register

Most projects are not successful. According to a 2014 survey, less than 30% of capital projects are delivered on time or on budget.

Planning and executing a successful project requires finding balance between the project schedule and risk.

There are five schedule risk analysis steps project teams can follow to balance schedule and risk: schedule validation, model risks, risk analysis, results analysis, and reporting & monitoring.

With these five steps, teams can better understand the project plan – properly estimating schedule contingency, identifying schedule drivers, analyzing the impacts of risk against the project schedule and developing risk-based what-if scenarios, resulting in more successful projects.

Concrete Principles For Planning & Controlling Projects

Projects fail to meet goals for a variety of reasons, and even the most experienced project managers can be caught off guard.

This webcast introduces the five immutable principles that will help you increase the probability of project success and shows you how to apply them to a broad range of projects.

Your schedule is set, the budget determined, talent deployed, best practices adhered to every step of the way—and still the project fails.

Often missing are these five principles:

  • Communicating your project’s success factors (or ultimately being “Done”) in meaningful units of measure to your decision maker
  • Planning to reach “Done” at the needed time for the required budget
  • Planning for all the resources that must be in place to reach “Done”
  • Identifying what impediments you will encounter along the way to “Done” and how you are going to handle them
  • Knowing how you will measure progress to your plan, to ensure that you are “Done” on or before estimated completion date, at or below your planned budget, and that project outcomes meet the needs of your customer

While attending this program is FREE, reservations are required – However most AMA webinars are recorded for later viewing.

DCG offers a range of solutions to help our clients measure, optimize and deliver their software development.

Sometimes, rather than recruit internal specialists – or while building up their specialist resources – our clients ask us to serve as their specialists, becoming part of their operational process for a range of time (sometimes indefinitely!).

To serve this function we:

  • Build client-specific Centers of Excellence (CoE) in software sizing, estimation and other metrics programs.
  • And then operate the CoE until the client is ready to make the transition to run it internally.

In this webinar, we will discuss the different applications of CoEs in use today and how they have helped other companies establish best practices and improve their software development process.
