Based on Becky Blalock’s book, DARE: Straight Talk on Confidence, Courage and Career, this course focuses on three key areas of the book, with supporting research from corporate career experts.

Course Outline:

  1. Begin Within – Get clear about what you want!
    • Only you can define success for you. The exercises in this section will prompt your to think strategically about your career, personal brand, skills, strengths and developmental opportunities. Additionally, you will take a look at your core values, goals and legacy.
  2. Be Bold – Build confidence, go after your dreams & make them a reality!
    • A comfort zone is a dangerous place to be.  Take risks to realize your full potential. In this section, you’ll take a confidence quiz and set-up an action place to improve your confidence.
  3. Invest in Relationships – No one achieves success in a vacuum!
    • Identify the people who can help you and connect with them.  Define how you can “give back” and help others. You’ll create a networking map to help you reach the goals you defined earlier in the course.
  4.  Wrap Up
    • Identify the first step(s) you will take to manage your career.

DARE yourself… learn how to gain confidence, speak up, find mentors, bounce back from failure, build a network or allies, and manage others – and ultimately reach your career goals.
