Once offloaded from the drudgery of data preparation, data scientists have a career-making opportunity to use more diverse data sets to deliver bigger business returns.
Case in point: Spend Analytics.
In Procurement, enterprises struggle to answer basic questions such as:
- How many suppliers do I have?
- What’s the impact on our spend if the price of steel rises 10%?,
- Which suppliers have the lowest total cost of ownership?, and
- Which business units should collaborate to bundle their spend?
In this hands-on session, you’ll learn about:
- How Big Data has changed the definition of spend analytics
- Three advanced analytics being performed by best-in-class procurement organizations
- Ways to accelerate procurement’s analytics journey
- How companies using Tamr are gaining new levels of insight into spend over previous analytic tools, in one case identifying new savings opportunities worth $100M+
