Project managers serve as a “go between” for technical and functional teams.
When PMs interact with different groups they adjust their speech, their vocal patterns and their gestures to accommodate to the audience. This process is known as Communication Accommodation.
Accommodation can be used to converge, bring their teams together, or diverge, highlight the separation and power relationships.
In this presentation Michael Perdunn (LinkedIn profile) will explore the ways that PMs can effectively use language to enhance their projects through the use of accommodating language.
