 Get a quick half-hour exposure to querying tables using SQL with SQLite.

This hands-on lesson will walk through basic table navigation using SELECT statements, including filtering, mathematical expressions, text concatenation, and leveraging functions.

No previous database experience is required. This is one lesson in the upcoming live online training, SQL Fundamentals for Data on October 4th and 5th.

Presenter: Thomas Nield (LinkedIn profile) author of Getting Started with SQL: A Hands-On Approach for Beginners, has a business analyst background and works at Southwest Airlines in Revenue Management. Early in his career Thomas mastered programming in Java, C#, Kotlin, and database design. Thomas makes technical content relatable and relevant to those unfamiliar or intimidated by it. He developed several database-driven applications for Southwest Airlines and believes technology should conform to the business, and emphasizes usefulness and real-world practicality.
