Presenter: Cathy Pearl (LinkedIn profile) Director of User Experience for Sensely, has been designing Voice User Interfaces since 1999 with Nuance Communications. At At Sensely Cathy pioneered their virtual nurse application which helps patients with chronic health conditions.Cathy has designed IVRs for banking, travel, healthcare, personal assistants, and tourism. She has previously worked at Tellme/Microsoft (Ford SYNC traffic app), and at various startups. At Volio, Cathy has created engaging one-on-one conversations with pre-recorded video. One of her apps allowed users to discuss style, hair and mixology tips with Esquire magazine columnists. Cathy has a B.S. in Cognitive Science and an M.S. in Computer Science.
