Within life, there is always change. Paradoxically, change is perhaps the one constant.

Feedback – seeking it, giving it and receiving it – is one of the most effective tools we have for harnessing and promoting change, so that it is to our benefit.

But there is a fundamental problem with all traditional feedback: it focuses on the past, on what has already occurred—not on the infinite variety of opportunities that can happen in the future.

It’s tough to give good constructive feedback.

But a business lives and dies by how quickly it can adapt and improve. Input (feedback) is the critical piece of the puzzle – one you can’t afford to ignore.

Feedforward picks up where feedback is limited —that is, it gives the recipient suggestions for the future. In this session, positive aspects of feedback will be reviewed and we’ll take a deep dive into understanding feedforward.

Do you want top performance and high morale from everyone on the team, as well as unstoppable growth of your company? Well, believe it or not, it all starts right here, with mastering feedback and feedforward.

Key takeaways:

  • Learn essential tools to effectively give and receive feedback
  • Discover the feedforward concept and how to utilize it everyday.

Stress Occurs When Pressure
Exceeds One’s Ability To Cope

It’s no secret that the demands of today’s workplace create more pressure than ever before.

Uncertainty in the marketplace, doing more with less, and coping with unhealthy working relationships can cause stress levels to soar.

While some stress may actually be good for you by keeping you alert and focused, too much stress can take a toll on your emotional and physical health, not to mention its impact on your work performance.

You can become less able to learn and find it tougher to make decisions.

The organization pays the price as well. Too much workplace stress diminishes productivity, increases absenteeism and employee turnover, and even adds to the burden of medical and legal costs.

This webinar will help you:

  • Understand the factors that cause job stress.
  • Learn how stress affects your mind, body, mood and behavior.
  • Develop strategies and techniques to reduce your stress levels and boost your performance.
  • Increase personal and organizational well-being.

Getting Engagement Right Is Tough!

Professional best practices, technological trends, and innovation can appear moving targets as HR prepares to face 2017.

Employee engagement is one such ‘living’ area — always transforming and evolving based on new information and new capabilities.

Getting engagement right is essential to business success!

The cost of disengagement to American organizations alone is between $450 billion and $550 billion per year.

Companies focused on engagement have a multitude of reasons to do so, not the least of which is preventing costly turnover of top talent.

As employees desire increasing transparency, flexibility, and autonomy, the field of employee engagement must change to meet new needs.

In this webcast, Kimberly Abel-Lanier (LinkedIn profile) Vice President, CultureNext at Maritz Motivation Solutions, and industry experts George LaRocque (LinkedIn profile) Principal Analyst and Founder, #HRWINS Reports on HR Technology Innovation and Charlotte Blank (LinkedIn profile) Executive Director, The Maritz Institute will discuss the transformations they predict will affect employee engagement.

2017 has exciting changes in store and the trends shared from these thought leaders can help HR leaders provide a roadmap to address employee engagement.

Note: SHRM has pre-approved this webcast for 1 Professional Development Credits (PDCs) towards SHRM-CP℠ or SHRM-SCP℠ Certifications.
