Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU

We’re all born with the gift of creativity, but throughout our lives, we’re conditioned to eliminate agile thinking.

We’ve become creatures of habit, with upwards of 90 percent of our thoughts being the same day after day. Our brains aren’t naturally wired to create and embrace change.

The majority of us simply conform to habits, allowing our minds to become submissive to biases we don’t even realize we have.

Fortunately, we can retrain our brains to be more agile. Research says 80 percent of agility is learned and acquired, so we all have the ability to unlock our potential.

Learn about:

  • Cognitive biases that hold us back from becoming more agile
  • Strategies designed to increase the success of implementing new ideas
  • Encouraging innovation and collaboration, and energizing others
  • How one well-known company successfully designed and applied new, disruptive ideas

Join  Dr. Casey Mulqueen  (LinkedIn profile) Senior Director of Learning & Development, The TRACOM Group & Luke Ross (LinkedIn profile) Director, The Social Intelligence Group as they help you unlock your business opportunities with an agile mindset!

The experience of project delivery hold many of the keys for future project delivery improvement, but as a profession we struggle to leverage it.

Merv Wyeth will be facilitating this interactive webinar with Martin Paver, delving into a problem which has challenged our profession for decades.

  • Does the evidence base provide sufficient impetus for change, and what does this mean for project professionals?

Organisations employ a variety of methods to leverage the knowledge and experience acquired from project delivery, often with limited success.

This perpetual struggle to ‘learn lessons’ represents a major obstacle to productivity improvement and value for money across the project delivery community.

Martin & Merv will explore a body of evidence to substantiate and challenge the status quo:

  • Why is it is that we continually fail to optimise the return on our substantial investment in change initiatives?

The answer has historically been encapsulated in knowledge management and lessons learned, but is it reasonable for every project manager to acquire unlimited knowledge of every possible eventuality?

Or, does the answer lie in analysing project data and extracting value that has, until now, eluded us?

Will data analytics transform project delivery, and sound the death knell for the traditional role of project manager?

Or will the profession rise to the challenge and embrace the opportunities for improvement that data science and analysis provide?

Martin & Merv will explore ‘the art of the possible,’ as they demonstrate how to leverage experience from project delivery.

Path To Becoming An Inclusive Leader

Diversity has evolved from a mere compliance exercise with a focus on meeting numbers on various measurable attributes (gender, race, age, disability) to the reality that our organizations are increasingly diverse, multicultural and global.

Today, we refer to inclusive leadership as an integrated set of skills that are required to channel the power and potential of a diverse workforce for the benefit of the organization, teams, workgroups, individual employees, customers, suppliers and the communities we serve.

This session is a preview of the AMA seminar, Leading in a Diverse and Inclusive Culture, explains how this course gives you deeper insights into yourself, your team, and the benefits of inclusion at all levels in your organization.

Join Carrie Spell-Hansson who will teach you the characteristics and skills vital to an inclusive leader, including:

  • The difference between diversity and inclusion, and its presence in and influence on our day-to-day interactions and decisions
  • How to recognize the manner in which culture impacts our perceptions, beliefs, behaviors and responses
  • The concepts of unconscious bias, micro inequities and micro advantages
  • The characteristics of successful culturally competent leaders

Leaders of customer experience are in disagreement with CIOs and IT leaders.

Customer experience executives believe that they only use technology in 50% of the projects they oversee. Meanwhile, CIOs and IT leaders think CX teams leverage technology much more, in 80% of their projects.

Yet, both sets of leaders agree that innovation in customer experience technologies is happening rapidly and they need to stay on top of these trends to ensure they’re making the right purchasing decisions.

The impact customer experience technologies can have on an organization’s application strategy is too significant to ignore the possibilities and risks.

In this webinar, Olive Huang (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Research VP looks at the innovation taking place in CX technologies and the trends for adoption.

We also discuss how application leaders can effectively manage customer experience technology portfolios to deliver the best business outcome.

Discussion Topics:

  • The state of customer experience technologies
  • Trends in customer experience technology adoption
  • Managing customer experience technology portfolios for success
