Project Managers Need To Know About Behavioural Change!
To be an effective Project Manager, an appreciation of what is required to create behavioural change is essential.
It is no longer enough to appreciate that project deliverables trigger the ‘change curve’ where our users experience lower productivity as they unlearn the old ways of working and practice and build competency in the new ways of working. Project Managers need to understand the activities involved in making this change and the time required.
This debate is relevant for Project Managers, Programme Managers and those in the PMO and for Change Managers to consider how they can best support effective project delivery.
Presenter: Melanie Franklin, (LinkedIn profile, @AgileMelanie) has a track record of excellence in project, programme and portfolio planning & delivery. She has set up and run the project management capability for several major corporates and has been responsible for the successful delivery of global transformational change programmes for over twenty years. Co-chair of the Change Management Institute in the UK, Melanie is a ‘Master’ level change practitioner and author of many books on change and project management including Managing Business Transformation: A Practical Guide and Agile Change Management: A Practical Framework for Successful Change Planning and Implementation.
