Project Managers need to be able to lead a team to achieve results on time, and on budget.
Your team members may well not have worked together before, and even if they have, they are by definition doing a project that they have not done before. They may also still prioritize their regular jobs, and you need them to work on your project.
So, it is particularly important that the PM knows how to get people to do what needs to be done, often under pressure. The techniques in this Performance Based Leadership presentation will help.
Presenter: James Rogers (LinkedIn profile) is a senior project who champions & manages multi-million dollar SDLC and Agile IT programs, from inception to operation, for large entities. James. recently managed two relocation projects, and is currently advising a NASA contractor on setting up a PMO. He has prepared the Department of Justice for ISO 20000 certification, managing the program of 14 process improvement projects, plus change, communication, internal audit, risk, and the development of top management reporting to implement and gain a return on this significant investment. Using ITIL/ISO compliant work processes also set the foundation for a future move of their Service Management System to the cloud.
