Strategically speaking, what works for recruiting the youngest generation of talent is different, if not completely opposite than recruiting its predecessor.

Talent acquisition professionals say they’ve yet to figure out what the Gen Z workforce wants, how to attract Gen Z, and what fundamental changes to make according to the newest group of talent. When it comes to winning the recruiting game, there’s a lot to learn.

William Tincup (LinkedIn profile) , President of RecruitingDaily, has a game plan for the winningest strategies yet.

He says traveling for work has given him the experiences to realize that Millennials and Gen Z are both awesome (like, REALLY awesome!), and that they could not be more different in preferences, goals and behaviors. He’s set to reveal the few similarities and many differences between these two fantastic generations on Dec. 13 at 1 p.m.

See below for William’s story, eventful flights, sightseeing and even the Taj Mahal’s role in helping him learn the winning ways of recruiting awesomely opposite generations.

I travel a lot for work. It hasn’t always been that way, but suffice to say, American Airlines now knows me by name. Let’s just say I owe apologies to the pilots, stewardesses, and fellow air travelers of early June’s Flight 2209 from Detroit to Topeka – not my finest moment, and far from the best version of me … SHEW.

Anyhoo, as I’ve said publicly, receiving one’s Executive Platinum card in the mail from American Airlines makes for a happy and sad day. Happy because you get to escape Gen Pop travelers, and sad because it means you’ll spend lots of time away from family. Happy … sad. But don’t cry for me Argentina, because this bittersweet setup is all for the Dec. 13 webcast with HCI (hint, hit the orange button above and join us).

In all my travels, I’ve seen two of the Seven Wonders of the World: Machu Picchu and the Taj Mahal. Now, this is the point you’ve been waiting for … think of Millennials as Machu Picchu, and think of Gen Z as the Taj Mahal.

When we recruit Millennials, we have a goodie bag of tricks, tactics and strategies that “kind of” work, but with the oldest of Gen Z being 22 years old, we’re not ready to recruit this generation … none of us are.

So, as any great tourist would do, we’re going to properly prepare for this recruiting journey. This webcast will reveal what works for both recruiter groups and focus on the similarities and differences between Millennials and Gen Z.William Tincup
