The University Health Network (UHN) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada wanted to ensure that patients who are discharged from hospitals receive the necessary support for a successful recovery.

In 2014, UHN embarked on a 3-year, CA$955,000 quality improvement initiative which included creating a standardized electronic Discharge Summary for UHN’s 35,000 annual inpatients, detailing their hospital experience and requirements for ongoing care.

The program finished on schedule and under budget and was a winner of the 2018 PMI Award for Project Excellence. Learn about this awarded program’s challenges, best practices, and lessons learned in this webinar.

Globalization has become an undeniable part of commerce over the last few decades. Large and small, public or commercial organizations have grown to source labour and parts from national and international locations.

Supply chains have had to keep in step, passing through numerous suppliers to obtain goods and services most efficiently and cost effectively.

Supply chains are growing more complex over time as evidenced and witnessed by the growth of transportation and logistics companies that service the transportation needs.

We only become consciously aware of how little we know of our supply chain process when abnormal events occur that disrupt the smooth operation of the supply chain.

This webcast will focus on:
  • How client’s can document their Supply Chain: For example, any procurement and supply team that does not have a good understanding of its supply chain, will be unable to identify , mitigate and avoid risk.  This is a major concern for the organization.
  • Understand Impact, and Lineage Analysis: Allows an organization to visualize, walk-through and audit the steps in a client’s supply chain.
  • Socialization and Communication. The business can now validate the steps and the documented supply chain then becomes a record of what needs to be done, for normal business operations or should abnormal events occur.
Join Sandhill for this webcast focusing on how to mitigate risk in your supply chain by building transparency, resilience, and optimizing your supply chain.

Supply chain leaders report that their organizations continue to take narrow, short-term approaches to cost optimization. This is frequently a result of disappointing revenue growth, which creates the need for cash conservation and margin protection.

Supply chain leaders must respond to these short-term business conditions by sharpening their organization’s execution precision and enabling stakeholder support when conditions allow a return to longer-term optimization.

In this webinar, Paul Lord, (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Sr Director Analyst will identify the two outcomes where supply chain leaders must focus their organizations, and provide a set of tactics that will help their companies “Win In the Turns” while positioning their teams for long-term success.

Discussion Topics:

  • The Gartner vision for supply chain cost optimization
  • Which two outcomes will enable success during times of cash and margin pressure
  • How supply chain leaders should adjust their priorities
  • What actions you should take

Employers know an appealing benefits package can be a powerful tool to attract and retain quality employees, but that package goes to waste if they aren’t effectively communicating the value of their offerings.
