It has been argued that project management is all about the execution of strategy.

It’s also been suggested that the only projects that should proceed forward are those that are strategically aligned.

At the same time, we tend to think of “strategy” and “project” as being separate and distinct concepts. The reality can actually be quite different.

There is a powerful school of thoughts that says that all execution is strategy, and all strategy is execution.

In this webinar Mark Mullaly (LinkedIn profile) author of Researching the Value of Project Management  explores where these lines blur, how to make sense of them, and how to think about our projects and they can—and should—relate to strategy.

Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU
Provider: Human Capital Institute

Attracting and retaining today’s top talent in is a lot like a game of finders, keepers. First, you need to find the talent. Then you need to keep them.

This is especially important in our competitive landscape because people are coming after your best employees, and your employees have more choices where to go.

How can you make sure you’re not losing your best employees faster than you’re able to attract new talent? If you don’t want to fight the war for talent on two fronts at once, you need both a good defense and a strong offense.

Now’s the time to make sure your culture is in great shape. Top Workplaces already do – they attract new talent and limit turnover with the strength of an intentional culture.

Their employees are engaged, they want to stay put, and they even refer their friends as ideal additions to the company. In fact, some report turnover rates as low as 14 percent.

Join Lisa Sordilla, (LinkedIn profile) Energage Vice President of Human Resources, who will present Energage research findings, share best practices and offer takeaways to help you get intentional about culture.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the key drivers of culture and performance
  • Learn what drives employee engagement
  • Know how to retain your best talent – and attract more of the same
  • Explore opportunities, barriers and best practices
