Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU free
Provider:  The Corporate Education Group ( REP 1011 )

In today’s business world we are so bombarded by information that many (if not most) of us live in a state of continuous partial attention.

While there are those who swear they can multitask, our brains are not designed to do that. We do not multitask; we switch-task, which involves processing sequential interruptions.

What psychologists and brain scientists tell us about interruptions is that they have a fairly profound effect on the way we think. It becomes much harder to sustain attention – to think about one thing for a long period of time – and to think deeply when new stimuli are pouring at you all day long.

In this webinar Christa Kirby will rethink some of our assumptions about focus and attention.

Christa will unmask some of the “disruption costs” of interruptions, including heightened stress and diminished quality. You’ll leave the session with some concrete ways to:

  • Prioritize and organize your time.
  • Enhance your ability to do “deep work.”
  • Successfully manage distractions.
  • Increase your productivity.

Presenter: Christa Kirby, (LinkedIn profile) MA, LCAT, PMP VP Talent Development & Leadership Practice Director,Corporate Education Group (CEG); has 15+ years of experience in communication, leadership, &  consulting for a global audience. There are loads of assessment tools and strategies in the marketplace.  All these platforms and tools provide organizations an awesome opportunity to build specific coaching solutions based on the results.

During this webinar, Tim Hagen will teach how to interpret assessment results and literally create coaching strategies based on those results using three types of coaching strategies.

Tim will illustrate actual output from an assessment into a coaching strategy teaching how to:

  1. Identify questions to ask
  2. Create accountability to address what was uncovered in the assessment
  3. Facilitate activities that drive required change illustrated by the assessment set of results
  4. Use a non-personality assessment to build greater engagement between manager and employee

This webinar will teach a strategy called mapping where coaching strategies are applied not only to the assessment results but the desired outcome of the manager and/or the employee together.

Presenter: Tim Hagen (LinkedIn profile) Progress Coaching, has been helping organizations implement highly effective coaching for 20+ years.  Tim is the author of Quit Managing and Start Coaching” and Coaching…Corporate America’s #1 Weapon ” and the creator of  the Progress Coaching Training Methods.   A pioneer in the coaching movement, Tim continues to innovate and build solutions that drive and retain top talent.
