When working remotely, it is easy to forget that our stakeholders are more than just the team and the people we work directly with. What about those crucial agenda-based stakeholders; those who have an interest and influence on the outcomes of our projects?
In this webinar Louise will:
- Clarify the difference between role-based and agenda-based stakeholders on your projects
- Explore why and how engagement differs between these groups
- Look at formal and informal communications, why they both matter
- Discuss the challenges of creating and maintaining relationships remotely
- Share approaches to stakeholder analysis
- Look at engagement approaches for those in support of your project, those opposing your project and those who just don’t care.
These concerns are challenging in the normal project environment. In this webinar we look at the additional problems, and opportunities, afforded through the current lock-down situation and beyond.
Presenters:
Louise Worsley (LinkedIn profile) Lecturer at the University of Cape Town in the MSc in project management programme, has been a project management consultant, lecturer, and coach for 30+ years. She is the author of Stakeholder-led Project Management: Changing the Way We Manage Projects and the co-author of Adaptive Project Planning and the The Lost Art of Planning Projects. Louise is also a regular contributor to PM online forums, joint leader of the Success Stories Shared PMSA initiative to encourage learning across the project manager community, a judge on the PMO Global Awards and the Chairperson of the judging committee for the PMO South Africa Awards.
Merv Wyeth FAPM (LinkedIn profile) is the UK Service Delivery Partner of Amplify: an enterprise software solution for benefits-led portfolio management. Previously, during a 25-year police service career, Merv performed a mix of operational and support roles including PPM and business change and benefits management. Merv is now a Better Business Case, Open Strategies and Managing Benefits practitioner and also is the APM Benefits Management SIG Secretary and fellow of the APM. He is a co-organiser of the Business Case Practitioner Forum and a member of PMI Virtual Events team. Merv is well-known as an ‘activist’ in the benefits management
