Today’s society has faced a wealth of exposure to overt forms of racism and discrimination in our communities and on our screens.

Colorblindness and Racial Microaggressions mark some of the more covert ways that racial bias operates in the workplace.

They are more difficult to address because they are subtle, often operating on a subconscious level by well-intentioned people. But if left unchecked, Colorblindness and Racial Microaggressions damage interpersonal relationships and undermine a company’s culture of inclusion and belonging.

Join Dr Tolonda Tolbert (LinkedIn profile) Co-founder and Head of Strategy and Culture at Eskalera for an informative and action-oriented webinar, as she explores how Colorblindness and Racial Microaggressions operate in the workplace, and specific strategies interrupt them.

In this session you will learn:

  • The Ideology of Colorblindness and its negative impact
  • The definition of Racial Microaggressions and how to identify them
  •  Methods to interrupt microaggressions in the workplace

Change resistance is usually accepted as normal, but this begs two questions – who gets to define “resistance,” and what causes it?

In this webinar Ross Wirth (LinkedIn profile) examines the normal reasons behind resistance and then goes deeper into the interaction between the change team and those impacted by the change to find the real reasons for resistance.

Further, change resistance is often used by the change team as an excuse for their mistakes in determining what needs to change (and what needs protection from change) or how they choose to involve others in the process (including what they can learn from what appears as resistance).

Long before the world became familiar with COVID-19, bold strides were being made to marry virtual technology with the learning space.

Yet while tools such as simulation, video conferencing and virtual reality were being put into increased practice, the advent of the global pandemic turned what were once curious considerations into worldwide imperatives.

This new era for both business and for education means that the delivery of knowledge to students, workers, leaders and learners will be from a distance.

In Southern California, for example, the state’s two biggest districts have declared they will begin the new school year with full-time distance learning.

In the corporate realm, the Harvard Business Review reports
that the majority of CFOs will be shifting at least 20% of their workforce to a permanent virtual model going forward.

If virtual learning is here to stay, what will this mean for those tasked with pivoting their delivery to replicate or even ameliorate what was traditionally an in-person endeavor?

How might we create better and bolder virtual experiences that inspire and impact our audiences? And how might these learnings look different from space to space?

Join Tom Merrill (LinkedIn profile) Master Facilitator ExperiencePoint and Tanya Bell, (LinkedIn profile) Director of Customer Experience at ExperiencePoint for an interactive  webinar to discover:

  • How ExperiencePoint successfully pivoted from its traditional in-person workshop delivery to offering highly immersive, virtual learning experiences, and the lessons learned along the way.
  • Tips, tricks and tools for creating and delivering the most engaging virtual learning and collaboration experiences possible.
  • Common pitfalls of virtual learning and how to overcome each.

There is no question that Human Resources leaders and teams are experiencing exceptionally challenging times. Growing disruptions in the global markets are requiring companies to turn to emerging technologies and drive more seamless human and digital interactions.

In time, few will be able to distinguish one from the other, creating innumerable implications for Human Resource practitioners that spans job functions and industries.

So, are you ready to lead your business during critical times?  Are you prepared to leverage these disruptions to influence and drive the right people strategy for your businesses and institutions?

This interactive session brought together a panel of Human Resources thought leaders with practical experience and leadership expertise across a variety of industries, including higher ed, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG).

They explored what some believe are the core competencies needed to thrive in a more agile, engaged and connected workplace—competencies that challenge HR to think differently about how to define, clarify and act on people potential.

Questions were asked around:

  • How is “Agile” defined in the industries you support?
  • How can you build greater organizational agility in times of disruption?
  • How does data help organizations effectively define challenges?
  • What are some industry specific impacts?

Learn:

  1. Think and engage more nimbly in times of rapid change & adoption
  2. Move beyond risk and compliance considerations to organizational challenges
  3. Broaden their perspective with cross-industry thinking and action
  4. Identify and challenge organizational “blind spots” to problem solving
  5. Build and strengthen non-traditional internal partnerships
