Culture plays an important role in how organizations function. It defines how people behave and interact, and shapes “how things get done here.”
Entering into a new organization means getting a read of the culture quickly. We need to understand how things work, how to get things done, and how to be able to fit in.
We also need to make sense of when the culture is dysfunctional, and to develop survival and coping strategies.
In this presentation Mark Mullaly (LinkedIn profile) author of Researching the Value of Project Management dives into culture and provides a practical grounding on how to approach, understand and manage successfully in a new organization.
