Nowadays, digital transformation is a hot topic. Every organisation has their own initiative to introduce new tools aimed mainly at enhancing mobility and collaboration.

However, the concept of digital transformation is not new; it has been done several times before, most notably with the adoption of the Personal Computer and the .com revolution. Digital or not, transformation means disruptive change and challenges to organisational culture.

Agility, rather than being the driver, should support digital transformations by contributing to the mindset changes, adding flexibility to processes, and last but not least supporting empirical learning.

In this webinar Stelian Roman (LinkedIn profile) has a brief overview of digital transformations, such as the computerisation of the manufacturing process when numerical control, robots and flexible cells were used to build the Agile Enterprise and to achieve what then was called ‘mass customisation’.

In the second part of the webinar, Stelian will focus on the recent concept of Digital Transformation with real life successes and failures.

Due to the massive impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, organizations are scrambling to survive and reinvent themselves.

The field of training is hard hit with limited budgets and the sudden shift to remote technologies. Furthemore, L&D teams are expected to train more people with lesser resources.

Progressive companies are extending their L&D efforts relying more on the frontline leaders to take on the role of learning, coaching and training.

The challenge, however, is that these frontline leaders are also stretched out and face rapid demands in their jobs; so being a trainer as an added task is an unwelcome idea. The old concept of train-the-leader as trainer no longer works.

Topics covered:

  • Why does the old train-the-leader to be trainer no longer works?
  • What is the difference between a trainer and a learning catalyst?
  • Why do learning catalysts in frontline leader roles become a natural part and mark of excellent leadership?
  • How to use the “Fix-Solve-Improve Learning Model” as a learning guide for frontline leaders?
  • What is the difference between instructing as a trainer and being a catalyst that Helps workers learn as they do the job?
  • How do you succeed in persuading frontline learners to transform into learning catalysts?
  • What are the steps and practices of a successful frontline leader learning catalyst?

Traditional project management was built on three pillars or three P’s: project, program, and portfolio.

Organizations are starting to recognize the importance of products and services, in the delivery of value to customers, and implementing strategy in organizations.

Project managers not only need to understand the role of their project to support the strategy of organizations but how the product they are building will support that strategy and realize the value to customers.

In this webinar Peter Monkhouse & Joanna Tivig will look at the inter-dependency between products and product portfolios with projects, programs, and project portfolios. The webinar will highlight the need for project managers to understand the relationship between portfolios, programs, projects, and products to support organizations in implementing strategy. It is time for products to become the fourth P of project management.
