Having faced unprecedented levels of change this past year, employees are exhausted.

In the last 12 months, 92% of organizations have shifted to remote or hybrid work, 44% have undergone restructuring or layoffs, and 46% have undertaken strategic business changes, according to a recent Poppulo survey.

Unsurprisingly, 81% of respondents reported increased concerns about employee wellbeing.

The coming months present a massive challenge for HR teams, who are juggling daily fire drills while also reimagining the “workplace” as we know it.

Whether planning a shift back to the office, perfecting a hybrid work model, or implementing a work-from-anywhere policy, HR teams are leading mission-critical endeavors.

And, as research shows, communication is crucial to the success of these change initiatives.

Join  behavioral scientist Lindsay Kohler (LinkedIn profile) and employee communications experts Laura House (LinkedIn profile) and Naomi Goodman (LinkedIn profile).

Learn how to be the leader your organization needs:

  • Understand what behavioral science can teach us about what employees will be thinking and feeling over the next few months
  • Hone active listening and authentic leadership skills for yourself, your team, and your executives
  • Communicate in ways that re-engage employees, stem burnout, and create connections – no matter where your employees are

Project managers have begun to embrace the concept that they have a responsibility beyond financial value creation for a narrow group of shareholders.

Responsible project management (PM) seeks to encourage project managers (PMs) to create multiple forms of value for stakeholders (human, social and environmental) in addition to financial value.

Responsible PMs take ownership for delivery of these types of value and ensure that they enact them in their daily practice in an ethical manner.

In this way, Responsible PM is differentiated from corporate social responsibility which is focused on organisational level representations and processes of enacting societal and community responsibility.

In this session, Nigel will discuss the agency of PMs (what is our role and scope of action), the nature of responsibility managed (when should we act?), the extent of PM responsibility (to whom are we responsible/where are we responsible) and activities (what practices can we adopt that deliver our idea of responsibility).

To support our work, we’re currently conducting a survey on the extent to which the circular economy is embedded in projects. Circular Economy in Projects Survey

You are also invited to participate in a one-day online workshop that explores the competencies involved in managing projects responsibly.

Presenter: Dr Nigel L. Williams (LinkedIn profile) PMP is Senior Lecturer in Project Management at Bournemouth University.  Nigel worked for 15 years as a Project Manager and Business Consultant for manufacturing organizations in the Caribbean Region. He holds a BSc in MechEng and an MSc in Marketing  and a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge.

Remember last year?  Well, don’t forget because it’s not over yet.  Everyone made up in their minds, that come 2021, we’d be back to normal.  Of course, that is not happening as quickly as we’d hope.

It seems the likelihood that we go back to 2019 NORMAL is zilch.  We are all in a continuing giant change, and change is always tough.

Rather than fighting with our brains to figure out how to go back, it’s time to look up to where we want to go.  I know that sounds like a Hallmark Story, and if we’re honest with ourselves, we know that 2019 and prior was certainly not perfect.

We all have an opportunity to create a current work world for ourselves and our teams.

Let’s start it together in this webinar.

Join with a blank piece of paper and your really cool pens out of your dusty travel backpack– Lou says “let’s make the future together”.  Using a simple template, you’ll think together about slowly beginning to walk your pathway including these questions and more:

  • What is the problem you currently have?
  • What is the results that you don’t want or have?
  • What do you think is your biggest obstacle?
  • Why is having a new future important to you?

Presenter: Lou Russell (LinkedIn profile) is President and CEO of L+EARN and Russell Martin & Associates. Lou delivers learning experiences that are fun, flexible, fast and measurable. She believes that learning and earning go hand in hand and focuses on faculty development, retention and recruitment of students, project management, leadership and organizational learning opportunities. Data Science & Machine Learning (DSML) providers showed great resilience in the past year, as they worked to sustain high levels of innovation during trying times.

The broad mix of vendors offers a wide range of capabilities, with solutions appropriate for most levels of maturity.

Even more vendors aim to appeal to both expert data scientists and citizen data scientists, while adding more capabilities for data engineers, developers and ML engineers, as participation by a supporting cast in the data science life cycle becomes more common.

So how do you determine the right DSML solution for your organization?

In this webinar Peter Krensky  (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Director Analyst, & Shubhangi Vashisth, (LinkedIn profileGartner bio) Principal Analyst at Gartner ; delve into the findings of the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms to identify key areas of differentiation amid the many overlapping elements of providers’ visions and value propositions.

Discussion Topics:

  • The key trends Data Science & Machine Learning (DSML) platform trends
  • Why data science teams gravitate to different vendors and tools
  • What the leading DSML solutions reveal about the market’s near- and long-term future
