Recognizing potential bias in your organization is the easy part.
We can see the issues, but how do we begin breaking down barriers and creating inclusion?
When it comes to confronting racism and bias, many of us have no idea how to start the conversation.
That is when doubt, hesitation, and even fear can creep in. What if sharing your concern only makes matters worse?
What if someone feels they are being falsely labeled or unjustly “accused”?
These potential scenarios can be frightening for many reasons:
- As an organization,
- you can decide to do nothing and hope for the best,
- or you can equip your people with the skills to engage in these critical conversations and
- mitigate their own biases.
In this session, Robert will explore ways to create the conditions for successfully addressing bias in a way that promotes dialog and discovery.
You’ll learn how to:
- Recognize organizational situations/conditions that need to be addressed.
- Establish clear goals for a successful outcome.
- Create an environment that promotes learning and change.
- Provide ongoing support.
