The COVID-19 pandemic forced many teams to start working remotely. Even for those who are used to working in virtual environments, the events of 2020 have accelerated the intensity and changed the pace.
The pandemic has changed how remote working is perceived, and has most likely changed forever, how virtual teams interact. With the importance of emotional intelligence (EQ) in leading project teams, it becomes more important while working remotely.
Team members may feel isolated and this may contribute to reduced productivity. The leader may also feel the loss of control and could suffer from emotional disconnect. But these situations can be managed effectively.
In this webinar Sunday Faronbi (LinkedIn profile) outlines basic the steps that you can take as a leader of project teams, to ensure that your teams remain engaged and highly productive.
Learning Outcomes:
- Outline the three questions they need to consistently answer for those they lead.
- Identify the emotional intelligence skills needed to lead in virtual environments.
- Categorize how to respond to those unspoken questions from their teams.

Mental health is one of the biggest issues companies and their employees face today.
Mental health has the highest economic cost of any other condition – even heart disease. The pandemic has caused 1 in 3 adults to experience anxiety or depression, and people will continue to struggle well after the pandemic has come to a close. Yet – people are still not getting the mental health support they need.
You have a part to play in the fight against the mental health stigma.
In this session, learn from Nivati employee wellbeing experts Amelia Wilcox, (LinkedIn profile) Founder and CEO, and Haeli Harris, (LinkedIn profile) LMFT and Lead Clinician, all about the state of mental health today and what employers like you should do about it.
Amelia and Haeli will discuss:
- What you can do as an employer to fight the mental health stigma through the newest technologies and provide employees with the mental health support they need
- The barriers to mental health care – structural and attitudinal barriers – and how you can help employees overcome them so they can live happier and healthier lives
- The common mental illnesses employees are facing today – mainly anxiety and depression – and how these mental health challenges impact the workplace. You will learn about the latest virtual tools that help combat these mental health issues (mindfulness, coaching, and therapy), and topics you can discuss with employees to start fighting the mental health stigma in your workplace.
- What you can do as an employer step-by-step to help your people overcome mental health challenges.
