Using the PMBOK 7 Project Performance Domains as our guide, Albert Agbemenu MSc PMP LIMC (LinkedIn profile) Founder & Managing Director at Seag Focus & Bryan Shelby (LinkedIn profile) will discuss possible ethical dilemmas that could arise in these domains and explore how a project manager could determine the best approach to resolving these situations.
As they work through these scenarios, the participants will have the opportunity to learn about PMI’s four Ethical Values, gain an understanding of the PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, and become familiar with the use of PMI’s Ethical Decision-Making Framework (EDMF) while also becoming more familiar with some of the changes now found in PMBOK 7.
The ethical situations will span a number of different disciplines within project management, coming out of our collective experience in projects in construction, technology, and organizational change in government, partnership, and corporate contexts.

The best project managers know that managing the expectations, goals and objectives of key stakeholders is critical to project success.
If the stakeholders aren’t satisfied, even the most efficient and well-executed project won’t be deemed successful in the eyes of those that matter most.
The best way to ensure stakeholder needs are met is to establish them up front, along with clear and mutually agreed upon communication and project completion requirements.
By considering stakeholder perceptions while developing the project charter and project plan, you can avoid unnecessary readjustments during project execution.
Bonnie will review:
- How to initiate projects that help your organization achieve its goals
- How to develop a project charter and a project management plan
- How to identify and analyze project stakeholders and determine their information needs and communication requirements
- How to manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their satisfaction

Procurement functions often see their requests for additional resources deprioritised, despite the increasingly important role procurement plays in organizational objectives, such as environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and innovation.
Procurement leaders aggressively work to keep pace with external change by investing in new technology, developing new competencies, creating new governance models, deepening supplier relationships, and establishing new goals.
Additionally, this push for rapid transformation, coupled with an increasingly complex operating environment, leaves procurement team members cognitively overloaded.
In this webinar Thomas Pocock (LinkedIn profile) Gartner Sr Director Advisory explores how procurement leaders can build a more compelling business case for resource investments, including technology and additional staff.
Discussion Topics:
- Forecast supplier shortfalls and business failures
- Discover effective framing techniques to express facts and figures
- Build a coalition to support procurement’s resource needs
