“Experience Learning” is another “hype” term that designers (and leaders) may add to their arsenal of “engagement tools.” The hope is to excite learners so they study the content.
Unfortunately, this is far from the intent of the Learning Experience Method. Instead, the focus is to be on how to help learners to learn from real-work problems and issues, solving, fixing, and improving them. Then sharing their experiences and new knowledge.
Experience Learning is authentic deep learning by discovery, trial and error, and insights.
Learn the following:
- Differentiate Experience Learning from instructions, memorization, drill and practice, and games.
- Discover Failures of Experience Learning and how to prevent them.
- Plan for Experience Learning: finding the environment, the business drivers, and the impact areas.
- Understanding the building blocks of Experience Learning.
- Find the right mixture of platforms and tools for Experience Learning.
- Measure Experience Learning contributions.
- Discuss three case studies.
