Although companies do a poor job of articulating them, in most organizations promotions to the executive or “C-suite” level are governed by a relatively few factors.

What are those factors and how can you both develop and display them to the satisfaction of the senior executives who make executive promotion and placement decisions in your organization?

What You Will Learn:

  • The core selection factors used in most organizations to decide who does and doesn’t get promoted to the executive level.
  • The key questions you need to answer in the affirmative in the minds of your organization’s decision makers to build confidence that you can succeed at the executive level.
  • How to tease out “the feedback that really counts”: how you are viewed by senior-level decision makers in terms of the core selection factors.
  • Career development strategies to pursue.
  • How to navigate some typical career dilemmas along the way.

Presenter: John Beeson is Principal of Beeson Consulting, a management consulting firm specializing in succession planning; executive assessment, coaching, and development; and organization design as well as the author of The Unwritten Rules: The Six Skills You Need to Get Promoted to the Executive Level.
