Despite increasingly complex projects, the topic of Stakeholder Management is often neglected until issues arise. This often results in project delays, increased cost, and/or scope changes.
Because the PMI believes Stakeholder Management requires a stronger focus, it included a new chapter on this subject in the 5th edition of the PMBOK.
This webinar will be led by a member of the team that wrote the new chapter, and will focus on what a project manager needs to do to put theory into practice in their day-to-day projects.
Note: You do have to be a PMI® member to register for this opportunity.
Presenter: George Burton PMP (LinkedIn profile) is a Senior Manager with experience in the fields of infrastructure & service management and ventures & acquisitions and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Besides leading global programs, he has managed projects in Europe, the Philippines and India during his 15 year career with Accenture. He volunteered to work on PMBOK 5 & was a member of the team that wrote Chapter 13 on Stakeholder Management.
