Emotional intelligence, empathy, good communication and interpersonal skills are just a few of the vital components of a productive and healthy organizational culture.
Though sometimes dismissed simply as “soft skills,” these and other related skills are, in fact, critical, as they help form the basis of teamwork, collaboration, and a smooth-running, efficient workplace.
They are also essential for cultivating a culture of compassion, which can help foster a stronger, more effective work environment.
This web event will explore the development of these skills in the context of leadership, with Stanford University lecturer and founding teacher of the Compassion Institute, Dr. Leah Weiss. Incorporating research from psychologists, neuroscientists, and Dr. Weiss’s top-selling book How We Work: Live Your Purpose, Reclaim Your Sanity, and Embrace the Daily Grind (HarperWave), this unique and powerful discussion will help you:
- Gain an understanding of why and how compassion is important in leadership
- Discover the science and research behind soft skill development
- Learn the first steps to take when the need for compassion cultivation is recognized
We encourage you to register even if you are unable to attend live; you’ll receive replay information following the event.
