It is connecting with our incredible community and learning so much about all of you and your practice of the profession that is the reason that this venture is such a joy for me.

I genuinely want to thank all of our readers and our volunteers
who make this site possible!

Thank you So Much – I have learned so much from you all!

My Christmas Card To You

Written by Tony Romeo Sung by: David Cassidy Discography

To you and all your family, your neighbors and your friends
May all your days be happy with a joy that never ends
May peace and love surround you
at Christmas time and all the whole year through

I’m looking out my window at the softly falling snow
that dances in the early morning light
I got my guitar right before me, strummin’ a beautiful sound
watching it a-comin’ down, all around
on the fields and the farms and the road to town

And I’m thinkin’ up a letter that I’m writin’ in my head
a Christmas card to all the folks I love
Instead of lettin’ the postman bring it, I decided I’d rather sing it
especially for you, for you

To you and all your family, your neighbors and your friends
May all your days be happy with a joy that never ends
May peace and love surround you
at Christmas time and all the whole year through

May your life be filled with sunshine, may your every wish come true
May you find the sweet fulfillment in everything you do
May your days be blessed with the very very best
both now and the whole year through
it says so in my Christmas card to …

You and all your family, your neighbors and your friends
May all your days be happy with a joy that never ends
May peace and love surround you
at Christmas time and all the whole year through
at Christmas time and all the whole year through

This year I am  re-commiting to
“Practicing Gratitude” – On a daily basis!

I got busy and let it slip away and I missed it.  I loved the daily practice of writing down things that make me grateful.

I found it puts it puts challenges and successes in perspective and makes me a better person, a better friend and a much better leader!

I want to thank all of our readers, for sharing precious moments from your busy day. We’ve shared nearly 5000 professional development learning opportunities since January of 2011.  This has allowed me personally to grow my skills and communicate with so many of you growing yours.

THANK YOU
You Remind Me How Important It Is To
Take Time To Give Back To Others!

I want to thank my many colleagues in Project Management, Business Analysis & Agile Endeavors,  who inspire me with their blogs, their writing and the opportunity to discuss project management and professional development. It really is a wonderfully diverse and fascinating international community and so many people contribute so much to benefit all of us.

THANK YOU
You Make Me A Better Community Leader!

I also want to thank my team for their hard work, patience and for the challenges they offer.  I try to recognize the effort and dedication they make to the cause – and … I even want to thank them also for occasionally pointing that out at time when I may be distracted and not recognize the effort that their task requires.

To All Of You – THANK YOU
You Keep Me Centered & Happy With All I Do!

I have spent this last year exploring the dynamic effect of “Influence” change management and practical servant leadership.  Creating an integrative positive culture that is supportive and effective in the workplace without the direct authority to demand the change.

The extent to which the power of Influence within the organization to create purpose and focus has honestly surprised me.  The changes I see in people and the difference that management can make by simply practicing respect towards their people is well beyond what I imagined.

My path from software development team member to IT Project Management and then to Corporate Culture & Change Management has been a long and winding path. It didn’t always follow my plan.  BUT… each and every experience helped make me a better person and a more humble appreciative respectful leader.

I am very Grateful to have the opportunity to help make change in an organization that needs direction and support now more than ever and I appreciate the opportunity to give back  as so many have done for me throughout my career.

Feel Free to Join me on LinkedIn  & Twitter  …
I would be Honored to chat with you this coming year!

So to all of you…
Happy New Year’s & A Prosperous 2015!

As a Project Manager, you’ve no doubt experienced the Eureka effect, when you realized the solution to a complex project problem or stakeholder conflict while standing in the shower or commuting to work.

Did you yell”Eureka as Archimedes did? While you “slept on it” the unconscious brain was working on the problem.

We can also trigger the unconscious brain
to work on a problem while we aredoodling.

Zentangle is a “structured doodling” that allows theunconscious brain to focus on resolving project issuesand developing creative problem solutions. All this without having to leave the office or jump in the shower.

Increase yourAha moments“!

Learn ho Zentangle can:

  1. Improve your Emotional Intelligence,
  2. Improve your Focus,
  3. Increase your Creativity and
  4. Help focus your Decision-Making.

– EdmontonPM

What is Zentangle? It is combination of art and meditation.

Through the meditative aspects, Zentangle may:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety at work and in your personal life
  • Be useful as an anger management tool, like counting to 10
  • Increase focus
  • Be useful to insomniacs.

Practiced meditation can lead to clarity of mind that is more able to focus. It may mean the end of stress and result in a boost to personal well-being.

Zentangle is also fascinating art form which:

  • Inspires and releases creativity by bringing out the artist in you
  • Provides artistic satisfaction
  • Develops or restores Fine Motor Skills in the young, old and infirm (for instance stroke recovery)

Zentangle Is Intuitive

  • Zentangle is fun, relaxing and lighthearted. It intentionally facilitates a shift in focus and perspective.
  • You can think of it as an informal form of meditation.
  • Zentangle is unencumbered by dogma and cost which can weigh on other approaches.
  • Nevertheless, Zentangle is sufficiently structured and organized so you can enjoy and benefit from an activity that otherwise might be considered whimsical.

Tools required: fine tip pen, paper and pencil.

Zentangle is enjoyed by individuals all over the world who have a wide range of skills and ages, and is used in many fields of interest.

With Zentangle, anyone can create beautiful images from repetitive patterns. This method is easy to learn and easy to do. Even though it is a specified series of steps, it results in a creative expression that transcends its own rules.

It is the repetitive aspects of the drawing that induces the meditation.

This seminar introduces you to Zentangle by illustrating the steps required to create this art form and provides sources of information for those interested.
