The use of improvisation as a training tool provides better listening, better focus, and better understanding. And it’s a whole lot of fun.

Often, however, it gets a bad rap because people think of it as something just for the stage. How many times have facilitated a training session and searched for experiential learning that sticks?

Join Bridget K. Brown (LinkedIn profile) Owner, StoryMatters, LLC, &  Theodore Klein (LinkedIn profile) Managing Partner, the Boston Strategy Group (BSG) to discover why – Improv is that tool.

One of our most popular webinars from 2022 is returning with an update on how training professionals are incorporating AI voice into their workflows.

In January this year, AI and Generative AI have begun to dominate industry newsletters, and learning and development are no exception.

The problem most instructional designers face in 2023 is understanding what AI tools are easy to learn, are capable of working well with teams, and have a high return on investment.

AI Voice is one of those tools, and in this webinar you’ll learn why companies like Boeing, Snowflake, Five9, Intel, and Peloton spend less time and money sourcing professional voice overs, without sacrificing quality

What You’ll Learn:

  • When to use a voice actor vs. a synthetic voice
  • What to consider when selecting the ideal voice(s)
  • How to tailor your script for voiceover
  • Voiceover production best practices
  • Do’s and Don’ts for voiceover success

Presenter: Alexa Anthony (LinkedIn profile) is Director of Business Development at WellSaid Labs, the leading AI-generated voice provider. WellSaid Labs delivers professional, lifelike voices, perfect for training and educational content, presentations, and individual projects.

It’s understandable that lots of people were overjoyed about being able to get back into the physical classroom after lockdowns and being apart.

Trainers and facilitators around the world rejoiced in seeing people’s body language, using their flipcharts and finally being with real human beings again.

  • But what if you could see people’s body language in virtual classrooms?
  • What if the electronic whiteboard was as intuitive to you as your pens and paper?
  • And what if those pixels were real people that you could connect with on the most human of levels?

This is what Jo Cook, (LinkedIn profile) whose company Lightbulb Moment has specialised in virtual classroom and webinar design and delivery since 2013 with 10 e of experience, wants to bring to your virtual offerings: remote training sessions where everybody leaves not just having learned something, but feeling great about it too.

In this highly interactive webinar you will discuss:

  • The underlying challenges with the virtual modality
  • What digital body language is for live online delivery
  • Digital body language process for managing participants
  • How to design and facilitate to connect with people

Best practice organizations allocate 4-5% of the learning budget for measurement and evaluation.

Yet, most L&D teams invest just one percent or less of their budgets to measurement and evaluation—and most of that investment is in tracking who is in the program (Level 0), reaction to learning (Level 1), and learning (Level 2). Very little data is captured for application (Level 3), impact (Level 4), and ROI (Level 5). This is not good news.

With this backdrop, it should come as no surprise that learning and development continues to be regarded as a cost and not an investment. However, the L&D function can be a business contributor and, in many organizations, a business driver.

This session will explore the current status of measurement and evaluation globally, and what can be done (and is being done) to dramatically change the view, perception, and success of learning and development.

After attending this session, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the need for more investment in measurement and evaluation
  2. Identify the levels of outcomes needed for top executives
  3. Design learning and development to deliver business value
  4. Measure learning and development at the impact and ROI levels

Presenter:  Jack Phillips, (LinkedIn profile) Ph.D. is co-founder and chairman of ROI Institute, Inc & developer of the ROI Methodology, the most applied approach to demonstrating value of programs, projects, and initiatives. With  experience in the aerospace, textile, metals, construction materials, and banking industries, Jack served as training and development manager, as Sr human resource officer, as president of a regional bank, and a management professor at a major state university.
