However, even when the individual touchpoints can have high satisfaction scores, an excellent customer experience can only be achieved when the cumulative experience across the entire journey is positive.

Customer learning that accompanies customer journey across multiple touchpoints can often make it easier to help organizations create seamless transitions from touchpoint to touchpoint.

  1. How to align learning with customer journey maps
  2. How customer learning helps create an environment for deeper customer interactions

The quality of your eLearning can directly impact profitability and business outcomes. Pretty pictures and slides are rarely enough to move the bar.

  2. And most importantly, which tool will help you execute it efficiently?

While there are many great authoring tools to develop eLearning, they widely vary in focus, approach, strengths, and weaknesses. Skill level, time constraints, and price are typical factors, but what else do you need to know?

Join Chrisanna (Chris) Paxton McMillin, M.S.Ed (LinkedIn profile) President, D3 Training Solutions and regular TMN speaker, to review 10 considerations to help you make the right choice.

While there has always been a need to show the value of our investments, the current economic climate has created an even greater demand for talent development professionals to prove the value of their programs, projects, and initiatives.

Executives, funders, and sponsors can be heard saying, “Show Me the Money” before considering a new program, leaving program owners faced with the challenge of credibly and rationally forecasting the ROI to secure project approval.

This session will explain how to forecast ROI using credible sources and a set of conservative standards. The ROI Methodology previewed in this session is used to forecast up to six types of data, including the financial ROI. When forecasting, the objective is to be realistic—but conservative and use the data to secure project approval.

Participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the rationale for using ROI on a pre-project basis
  2. Describe the six types of data that can be forecasted
  3. Conduct a pre-project forecast of data
  4. Conduct an ROI forecast from reaction data
  5. Present the forecast in a convincing way to senior executives
  6. Use forecasting as a routine process to secure project approval and build relationships with clients

Participants will receive a chapter from the book, The Consultant’s Guide to Results-Driven Business Proposals: How to Write Proposals that Forecast Impact and ROI (Jack and Patti Phillips, McGraw-Hill), a copy of the presentation, and job aids.

Presenter: Jack Phillips, (LinkedIn profile) Ph.D. is co-founder and chairman of ROI Institute, Inc & developer of the ROI Methodology, the most applied approach to demonstrating value of programs, projects, and initiatives. With  experience in the aerospace, textile, metals, construction materials, and banking industries, Jack served as training and development manager, as Sr human resource officer, as president of a regional bank, and a management professor at a major state university.

Believe it Or Not. There are faster, easier, and more highly interactive authoring tools than Captivate and Storyline

Storyline and Captivate have become dominant authoring tools that many rely on. Falling in love with them is not a bad choice. However, it also blinds us to other tools that are cheaper, faster, and more interactive – the new-generation methods.

In this webinar, Ray will share four case studies on how the tools he used, have helped meet the specific needs of instructional designers, developers, and leaders in certain scenarios.

  • Case # 1 – Leadership training – no video, only reading, used built-in interactive tools, meaningful learning design. Leveraged mapping, insights, posting cards, and work impacts reporting.
  • Case # 2 – Medical equipment technical troubleshooting – easy-to-author lessons on problem solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostic discovery tools.
  • Case # 3 – An insurance company – lessons created to seamlessly integrate with success records, skills competencies tracking, rewards and recognition.
  • Case # 4 – Micro-learning for a Medical billing company – instant solutions sharing and lesson creation by learners and workers.
