The biggest change initiative facing all organizations is the need to devise their future working arrangements. All around us organizations are debating how to maximize the benefits from the temporary changes they adopted at the start of the pandemic, which over a year later have become the new norm.

There is greater flexibility of where, when and how we work, with the adoption of new tools and a cultural shift which has seen us bring our whole selves to work.

This practical session will help you to build your capability for managing change so you can help lead this initiative. Presenter and Change Management expert Melanie Franklin will provide a speedy masterclass on how to scope and plan this agile change using three key techniques:

  • End goal to scope to the change
  • Decomposition to create the roadmap
  • Community map to drive collaboration across all stakeholders

This webinar is suitable for line managers looking to ignite the debate on hybrid working with their teams, project and programme managers likely to be involved in managing the changes, HR professionals whose expert guidance is going to be key to creating an equitable working environment and change professionals who will be responsible for leading everyone through the transition to the future.

One of the most significant questions for the future of the project management profession will be our position in relation to huge, complex, and overwhelming environmental and societal problems that cannot be resolved by any organization, government and individual alone.

Those problems are often referred to as Grand Challenges.

The climate crisis is a prime example of a Grand Challenge with an increasing urgency that needs to be addressed if societies around the world are to survive and prosper.

Up to now, project management as a profession has been key for ‘getting things done’, and as such is likely to be a key part of the solution for climate change and other such Grand Challenges.

In the webinar Efrosyni Konstantinou (LinkedIn profile), & Jenny McArthur (LinkedIn profile), Rob Leslie-Carter (LinkedIn profile), & Vedran Zerjav (LinkedIn profile) will reports the findings of PMI funded research to address the question of how project, program, and portfolio management (P3M) can be utilized and extended to deal with the climate crisis and other grand societal challenges.

One of the key findings of this research is that, while the role of large-scale multinational initiatives will be important, the power of change lies in the hands of project professionals – the people who know projects inside out and have the power to use projects to catalyze change far beyond the boundaries of the project.

Alongside several other key findings from this research, including the types of projects and project practices that are likely to achieve climate change objectives,

in this webinar they will discuss the role and the evolution of the project management profession that will be necessary for governments and organizations to tackle climate change and other grand challenges.

As financial services CIOs adapted digitally over the past few years, an uneven race unfolded between some accelerating positive business outcomes and some who lagged behind.

This created a digital capability gap that could widen. Additionally, efforts around environmental, social and governance (ESG) can be oriented to various impacts both internally within banks’ operations and IT spend, investment options, and banks’ own lending practices.

Yet, banks often lack the ability to create models that effectively measure and demonstrate progress.

As we progress through the next era of uncertainty and turbulence, financial services organizations must future-proof themselves to grow revenue while optimizing for cost.

Gartner predicts that banks who are successful with ESG will create definitive measurements that will prove to customers, regulators, and themselves they can affect change in a positive way.

Join Richard Thomas Natale (LinkedIn profile) Garter Sr Director Analyst & Jason Malo (LinkedIn profile) Gartner Director Analyst in this financial services webinar as Gartner banking and insurance experts reveal what comes next for financial services and how you can take advantage of the opportunity.

Discussion Topics:

  • Get a look at what the future holds for financial services
  • More strongly align your company needs with customer needs
  • Take advantage of new opportunities in financial services
