Are you struggling to find exceptional talent to fill key roles?
You’re not alone. Today there are more job openings than workers to fill them, and the battle for qualified talent will only continue to intensify.
Traditionally, employers have made hiring decisions based almost exclusively on the required skills of the role while seeking candidates whose experience matches their wish list of ideal traits.
But that simply won’t be enough any longer. Organizations need to start hiring candidates with an eye to the future; not only who will be productive and engaged from day one, but also who will stay in the position long-term, be able to adapt to change and unexpected challenges, and who can grow into new and different positions to help the organization thrive.
Hiring is more challenging now than ever, so how can companies ensure they’re hiring the professionals they need now and those they can count on in the future? The answer: hiring candidates with upskill potential.
Join PhD Eric Sydell (LinkedIn profile) EVP, Innovation, ModernHire, to discuss:
- What’s behind the current workforce shortage,
- What “potential” means in the workplace and the predictive science behind it,
- The tools that exist to help businesses identify upskill potential, and
- The best practices to reduce bias and focus on the candidates most likely to succeed, regardless of their background Don’t miss your opportunity to learn how to find your most diverse, engaged, productive, and future-focused workforce. You will walk away from this session with actionable tips to better insulate yourself against the ongoing effects of a labor shortage.

Up-Skilling 101
With the evolving workforce, hybrid and remote workplaces running rampant and the power shifting from the employer to the employee — organizations and leaders need to think about the importance of retaining critical skills during this era of the Great Resignation.
Employees and job seekers want to grow and develop their skills so as not to become irrelevant in the future job market.
A 2022 study led by McKinsey has predicted that by 2030 over 50% of the jobs we currently see will disappear. Upskilling is a go-to strategy where critical skills are understood, assessed and refined in an effort to grow and retain internal talent.
Many organizations are looking at their internal talent who they have upskilled each year against those with critical skills who they brought in from outside the organization.
Takeaways from Cristina Costa (LinkedIn profile) include:
- How to determine what skills your team needs and wants
- How to make upskilling part of your L&D Strategy
- How to include employees in upskilling to increase engagement

Join thought leaders from the O.C. Tanner Institute for part one of their three-part webinar series exploring in-depth insights from the recently released 2023 Global Culture Report.
As the business landscape adjusts to new models of work and continued workplace changes, having a strong workplace community is more important than ever.
Evolving organizations that prioritize employee belonging and connection will be ideally positioned to leverage their talent and lead out on industry-changing innovation.
In part one of the series, Daniel Patterson (LinkedIn profile) of the O.C. Tanner Institute and Dr. Cristen Dalessandro (LinkedIn profile) of the O.C. Research reveals that the evolving demands on leaders are leaving mentors and managers stressed and underappreciated.
Generalists, those employees with diverse skillsets and interdisciplinary thinking, are also feeling the weight of feeling unsupported and unrecognized for their role in helping organizations navigate uncertainty in the workplace.
In this Global Culture Report deep-dive webinar you will:
- Explore data and perspectives from more than 40,000 employees and leaders worldwide
- Discover how integrated recognition can elevate performance and wellbeing for all employees, including leaders
- Learn practical strategies for retaining and growing the talent central to building a strong workplace community
