The labor market has changed rapidly, resulting in businesses facing unexpected impacts on their production, demands and profits. Due to these unforeseen circumstances, we’ve been forced into a digital reality where many organizations must rely on workplace technology to continue business as usual.

Transitions in a company can be challenging, but with the right technology, your organization can establish a culture that embraces the digital reality and scales back up to success. Now is the time to make the most of this opportunity by effectively managing your organizational growth goals and hiring top talent with digital onboarding.

How does digital onboarding give you a competitive advantage by aligning your organizational growth with strategic business goals?

In this session TidalShift looks at how providing feedback using a coach approach can be extremely impactful.

They will discuss how to provide relevant and “call to action” feedback using the OSCAR model, giving PMs tools they can use to have those difficult conversations.

The OSCAR model,

  1. Outcome: Help the team member to clarify their outcomes.
  2. Situation: Get clarity around where the team member is right now.
  3. Choices and Consequences: Help the team member to generate as many alternative choices as possible and raise awareness about the consequences of each possible choice.
  4. Actions: Help the team member to clarify their next steps forward and to take responsibility for their own action plan.
  5. Review: Create an ongoing process of review and evaluation. This is where you help the team member to continually check that they are on course.

Giving (and getting) feedback can be very uncomfortable, at times to the point where we will avoid it at all costs.

How much time do we waste thinking about, avoiding or worrying about conflict and what does that do to your work environment?

Conflict does not generally go away unless you actively manage it. The conversations are not always easy, but getting a resolution feels good, especially if you both walk away satisfied.

In the webinar, Dana Bernstein (LinkedIn profile) will explore how to have productive conversations and provide you with a framework where you can be successful in winning a resolution.

Attendees will be better equipped to manage conflict in a structured way, apply principled negotiations effectively to focus on winning a resolution and learn to identify their preferred style/s in influencing others and managing conflict and the additional strategies that they need to use to successfully resolve the conflict situation.

A good project manager is told that they need to have perfect ratio of technical (or hard) skills and non-technical (or soft) skills.

The soft skills are typically described as communication, leadership, stakeholder management, decision making, conflict resolution etc.  The common element of that all these soft skills is that they are all outward facing.

Wellbeing takes the opposite approach and requires a project manager to show the ultimate soft skill and look inward instead to make sure their levels of wellbeing are sufficient and being looked after.

By looking after your own wellbeing, you can ensure you perform all the outward facing skills, whether they are technical or soft skills, to the best of your ability.

In this presentation Sean Whitaker (LinkedIn profile) will show you practical tools for using your signature strengths to enhance your level of wellbeing so that you are prepared for all the challenges of your professional and personal life. It will draw on the science of positive psychology and cover topics of positivity, resilience, grit and authentic happiness.
