Live Webinar October 28th, 2020 – 11:00 am to 12:00 pm EDT
Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU
Provider:  HR.com

Here’s What You’ll Learn:

  1. Components of a comprehensive “return to the office” plan
  2. Top resources for up-to-date COVID-19 information and guidelines
  3. Communication tips – including when, where and how

As isolation restrictions ease across many states, HR leaders are preparing for a safe, effective return to the office.

But what does this really look like?

While some employees will be eager to return to the workplace – swapping yoga pants for professional attire and uncomfortable video calls for in-person meetings – others will be understandably anxious about exposing themselves to the virus.

With many people having childcare, personal health problems, or vulnerable family members to consider, a safe return to work could mean very different things to different individuals.

New challenges and policy requirements will undoubtedly continue to arise throughout the rest of the year, making preparations for a safe, smooth and stress-free return highly complex.

Earlier this year, when quickly transitioning to home working, we learned the value of being nimble and agile to accommodate change – but that doesn’t mean HR should operate “on the fly”. In fact, developing a robust, proactive return to work plan will provide a foundation for success.

In this webinar, our panel of HR experts will discuss the 5 key components to consider in a successful back-to-the-office plan, including:

  1. Practical health and safety protocols
  2. Considerations for worksite redesign
  3. Reviewing and re-imagining policies and benefits
  4. Importance of employee well-being
  5. Critical need for open and ongoing communication

The way each company responds to the pandemic, and their treatment of employees throughout, will undeniably impact their culture in the long-term.

Those organizations who act with empathy, understanding and compassion will benefit from an open, transparent and strengthened culture – and this should be at the core of your return to the office approach.
