Guidance, Training & Certification

Vast sums of money are invested in projects, programs, and change initiatives across all sectors and industries.

Business cases or spending proposals typically act as the catalyst for change yet initiatives often fail at the first hurdle as the business case fails to convince senior management of the return on investment.

This creates a major problem for project teams as they struggle to secure funding for essential change initiatives, simply because the justification for change is insufficient to persuade those that authorize funding.

Additionally, projects and other change initiatives are at risk of failure (time, scope / cost / benefits realization) if the business case fails to accurately scope critical aspects of the initiative. This is of particular importance in the public sector where taxpayer funds are at stake.

Creating effective business cases and spending proposals is therefore critical to securing funding and management buy-in. It is important that individuals have the opportunity to develop their capabilities to create, review, and adapt effective business cases.

After this one-hour session, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the Green Book and Five Case Model, official guidance, and basis for APMG certification exams
  • Understand the 6 key areas:
    1. Overview of the Five Case Model
    2. Developing the Strategic Case
    3. Developing the Economic Case
    4. Developing the Commercial Case
    5. Developing the Financial Case
    6. Developing the Management Case
  • Learn about the APMG Better Business CasesTM training and accreditation process.

The pandemic, labor shortage, and remote work have dramatically changed the landscape of talent acquisition.

Organizations have adapted and adjusted their priorities, processes, and budgets with limited resources. And, while different regions and different sectors face new realities in recruiting talent, every organization is going through some type of transformation.

Additionally, the talent acquisition technology landscape has shifted over the past year. Companies are rethinking their strategies and technology options with a focus on efficiency, quality, and experience.

In this presentation Madeline Laurano (LinkedIn profile) Founder / Principal Aptitude Research, will explore the key trends that companies should consider as they prepare for talent acquisition transformation and the state of talent acquisition technology.

Unionism is up to its highest level in 5 decades–there’s rarely a week without a headline of union discussions of one employer or another.

But it’s mostly younger workers driving the conversation and they consider unions a means to an end rather than a solution.

During this webinar, we’ll look at:

  • Why the Organized Movement is resurging right now
  • What frontline workers really want
  • Effective approaches to create a win-win for employees and employers

Join Mike Zorn (LinkedIn profile) former Labor Relations VP at Macy’s and current VP Workplace Strategy, WorkJam; & Jeff Maier (LinkedIn profile) Customer Success, WorkJam in this informative session.
